Indonesian socialite donates Rp 50 mln for flood victims
ISLAMABAD, Sep- Prominent Pakistan-origin Indonesian socialite and medical practitioner Badaruzzaman has presented a cash donation of Indonesian Rp 50 million to Pakistan’s Ambassador to Indonesia Sanaullah for disbursement among the flood affected people , said a message received here on Wednesday.
Badaruzaman, who was accompanied by Chairman Kashmir Solidarity Forum Jakarta Dr. Zahir Khan said he was greatly moved by the plight of millions of Pakistanis who had became victims of natural calamity.
Ambassador Sanaullah lauded the goodwill gesture of Badaruzzaman and said Pakistan needed support from international community in the face of the gigantic challenge posed by wide-scale floods. He briefed him about the latest flood situation in Pakistan.
He said Pakistan was grateful to Indonesian government and philanthropists for their generous support for flood affected people.
