  PAK ARMY RESCUE
KARACHI, Aug 26 : An emergency rescue mission sent by Army helicopters to evacuate people trapped near Sarjani Bund was successfully completed. Dozens of helpless villagers were rescued and brought to safe places and were given first aid medical treatment.An ISPR statement here said that more than 150 families are given rations in Shadadkot and nearby area.As many as 25,000 people were served with cooked meals in Jacobabad, Kashmore, Shadadkot, Qamber, Thatta, Manjhand Boobuk and Qubo Sayed Khan whereas 1,000 people were given medical treatment in affected areas by mobile medical teams of Pakistan Army.

More than 3,000 people rescued from different affected areas to safe places.
Besides above, Corps Commander, Lieutenant General Shahid Iqbal, and GOC Major General Shaukat Iqbal, inspected and analysed the breach at Sarjani Bund on River Indus.
Army engineer troops, machinery and additional troops alongwith vehicles also moved from Hyderabad to plug the breachers and rescue the marooned people.
