Mentioning four important phases of relief work, he said rescue work was in process in flood-hit areas which was the first and most important, while the second important thing was provision of tents, mats, food and shelter from epidemics to the affectees.
In third phase the government would work for the rehabilitation of the affected people, he said and added that Rs 20,000 would be provided to each family before Eid for which provinces would share 50 percent.
The Premier said that, in last phase, affected people would be registered with the collaboration of NADRA, UNHCR and ministry of Social welfare and these departments would register total loss of livestock, crops and others by ensuring the real figures.
To a question, he said that tremendous response was received from foreign countries regarding aids, adding all countries including USA, UNO, EU, NATO, Germany, Australia, Afghanistan, Japan and India had positively responded.
He said that people of Pakistan were also giving heavy donations while an amount of Rs 1.58 billion had been received directly through cheques.
He said it was time to unite the nation and the matters should not be politicised.
