FLOOD LATEST NEWS TERBELA DAMS IS FULL OF WATER

  TERBELA DAMS ACHIEVES ITS MAXIMUM WATER CONSERVATION LEVEL
ISLAMABAD, Aug 23 : The Tarbela dam on Monday achieved its maximum water conservation level of 1550 feet while inflow was recorded as 301,800 cusecs against the outflow of 79,000 cusecs.  According to the data released by Indus River System Authority (IRSA) here, the maximum water level in River Indus at Tarbela was 1550.00 feet which was 172 feet above its dead level. The IRSA released 519,341 cusecs water from various rim stations with inflow of 542,141 cusecs.




The release of water at Kalabagh, Taunsa and Sukkur was recorded as 354,663, 429,528 and 827,350 cusecs respectively.
The water level in River Jhelum at Mangla was 1206.00 feet which is 166 feet above its dead level of 1040 feet whereas the inflow and outflow of water in the dam was recorded as same 53,832.
Similarly, from River Kabul a total of 79,200 cusecs of water was released at Nowshera and 107,309 cusecs released from River Chenab at Marala.
